The picturesque Lake Brockman Tourist Park, adjacent to Logue Brook Dam in Perth's South-West, has new proprietors, Peter and Denise Douglas and Steve and Lee-Anne Brown. Signing a Lease with the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) just a few days before Chistmas the enthusiastic new park operators pledged numerous improvements for park customers.
After the 3-way negotations between the Brownand Douglas families, the previous owners and DEC became bogged down, the keen vendors engaged Brighthouse Consultants to facilitate an agreement for the assignment of the lease between the purchasers and DEC. Brighthouse assessed the issues that were impeding finalisation of the assignment and prepared a staged development plan that set out the intentions of the Brown and Douglas families to develop and improve the existing caravan park.
DEC acted quickly to approve the Brighthouse concept plan and to establish lease documentation that captured the staged development conditions as proposed by Brighthouse.

We entered into a sale and purchase agreement for the lease of the Lake Brockman Tourist Park in July 2011 and spent the next five months negotiating the lease assignment conditions with the Department of and Conservation as Landlord. We were totally frustrated at the continuing delays and were ready to walk away from the deal when we were introduced to Brighthouse, a consultancy specialising in caravan parks and relocatable accommodation camps.
